Rodney's Going Away Party

Juniper Village at Forest Hills’ Executive Director Janet Wangler and former Connections Director, Rodney Boyers proudly display his going away gift.  The picture frame was signed by all of the residents at Juniper Village and presented to Rodney Boyers on Friday, May 5, his final day of employment with Juniper Village.  Rodney had been employed as the Connections Director for Juniper Village at Forest Hills for the past three years and had made a lot of friends.  We all wish him luck with his new endeavors!

Forest Hills Rotary’s 6th Annual Chili Cook-Off!

Although the weather was cold, there were warm thoughts at the Forest Hills Rotary’s 6th Annual Chili Cook-Off this past Sunday, April 22 at the Westinghouse Lodge in Forest Hills. Mary Hall and Joyce Sekowski from Juniper Village at Forest Hills’ Dietary Department proudly served up some sunshine with their white chicken tropical chili. Over 15 different business came together for the event and this was the 3rd year for Juniper Village’s participation. All proceeds benefit the Forest Hills Police and Fire Departments and local Rotary Scholarship programs.

Juniper Village at Forest Hills recently celebrated Fat Tuesday New Orleans Style! The Mardi Gras celebration included masks, beads, musical entertainment and a traditional King Cake!

Soup For The Soul!

Soup For The Soul – March, 23, 2012. A fundraiser for the Wallace Avenue Soup Kitchen in Wilkinsburg. For just $3.00 visitors sampled a variety of 4 different soups (Tomato Basil, Cheddar Broccoli, Vegetable Beef and Italian Wedding Soup) and enjoyed a bowl of their favorite soup. For $5.00 guests received a quart of their favorite homemade soup, fresh rolls, beverage and dessert to take home. The event ran from 4-6pm and raised over $155.00 for the Wallace Avenue Soup Kitchen in Wilkinsburg, PA. All soups were prepared and donated by the Dietary Department at Juniper Village at Forest Hills

"Performance: Your Treasure Within"

Juniper Village residents, families and associates appearing in these photos are tapping their "Blue Suede Shoes" with local Elvis Impersonator Randy Galiato during "Juniper Village’s Elvis Lives! Old Fashioned 50’s Sock Hop". Everyone enjoyed old fashioned hamburgers, fries and malted shakes while dancing and singing to all the well known hits made famous by "The King", bringing out their own "inner Elvis". During the month of March Juniper Village at Forest Hills will be focusing on our "Alive In All Seasons" theme, "Performance: Your Treasure Within". We will be offering many exciting activities and events highlighting various aspects of "Performance". Performing has all the key ingredients that is part of the Juniper Village culture and foundation. Performing helps with "encouraging an active body, engaged mind and fulfilled spirit".
