Breathe in Life

What better way to "Breath in Life" and welcome spring than with Juniper Village at Forest Hill's Indoor Farmer's Market. On Saturday, February 23rd vendors, residents and members of the community were invited to sample and purchase a variety of spring garden products including: fresh vegetables, organic coffees and teas, locally harvested honey, herbal skin care products, homemade sausages and meats, as well as gluten free baked goods, pastries and ethnic specialities. Gardeners enjoyed sorting through hundreds of seed packets, discussing Forest Hills Garden Club projects and gaining organic gardening tips from local Pittsburgh-Post Gazette writer and author, Doug Oster. Memorable Journey

As we journey through life we experience a multitude of ups and downs making memories along the way – some good, some not so good. Each of us wears many different hats throughout our lives with each telling its own unique story. During our 'Musical Hats' program at Forest Hills, residents were able to tell their own stories through the hats they wore and experience the different ways in which we cherish the moments of our life's journey – how it makes us feel, striking up memories of the past, of family, friends, life events, and the memories each experience holds in our lives. Sometimes in life we have to change hats whether we like the hat we are wearing or we are forced to wear a different one. What hats have you worn? In
November, think about family and friends and which hat you will wear to "Cherish the Journey."
