Memorable Journey

As we journey through life we experience a multitude of ups and downs making memories along the way – some good, some not so good. Each of us wears many different hats throughout our lives with each telling its own unique story. During our 'Musical Hats' program at Forest Hills, residents were able to tell their own stories through the hats they wore and experience the different ways in which we cherish the moments of our life's journey – how it makes us feel, striking up memories of the past, of family, friends, life events, and the memories each experience holds in our lives. Sometimes in life we have to change hats whether we like the hat we are wearing or we are forced to wear a different one. What hats have you worn? In
November, think about family and friends and which hat you will wear to "Cherish the Journey."

Halloween Fun!

The Residents of Forest Hills would like for you to meet the newest addition to their Juniper Community - Mr. Elmer! He arrived here during our "Scarecrow Stuffing" Party and enlightened the hearts and 'spirits' of everyone. Residents began by stuffing clothes with newspaper and dressing him up for his big debut. "But what should we call him?" Many names were suggested - Scotty the Scarecrow, Mr. Bojangles, Jumpin' Jack, and simply - Mr. Pumpkinhead. After harsh
deliberation, "Mr. Elmer" was introduced as the newest addition to the Forest Hills Community.

Summer Is In Full Bloom At Juniper Village at Forest Hills

Frank R., Larry P and Rose Mary J.
volunteers from the Pittsburgh Men's Garden Club

The gardens are blooming at Juniper Village at Forest Hills thanks to the warm, sunny weather and the caring hands of our residents and some local volunteers. This past spring Frank R. Larry P and Rose Mary J. local Forest Hills area residents and volunteers from the Pittsburgh Men's Garden Club shared their time and horticultural expertise to plant gladiola bulbs, petunias and hostas in the gardens in the front flag area and the front porch circle area. Thanks to the warm weather and the nurturing efforts of our residents the gardens are blooming with a beautiful medley of flowers and flowering bushes. Juniper Village invites all of our family members, guests and friends to stop by, relax on the front porch and enjoy the beauty of our gardens.
Residents tending to the gardens and enjoying their beauty are Flora R. Amy H and Donald G.
